Welcome to Chef Gertrude!
We are Keegan, Julia, and Gertrude! Chef Gertrude came from many laborious years spent trying to convince our dog that her kibble was good enough to eat. We tried new kibbles, treats, and even vet visits to crack the code. In the end, it came down to one simple thing: kibble is super boring.
We decided to shift our focus to giving her a reason to get excited about her meals. From this, Chef Gertrude was born.
What Makes Us Different?
Our meals are made with fresh, human‑grade ingredients. Our proteins are never treated with antibiotics or hormones, and we’re a fraction of the cost of full fresh‑food meal plans. These days, one meal from the major fresh dog‑food suppliers can cost around $15–20, and many still lack key fresh ingredients like pure ground chicken, egg, and other nutrient‑rich foods.
Chef Gertrude brings the best of both worlds. You get 1 lb of our topper, enough for up to six meals added on top of traditional kibble, all at an affordable price.
We believe in giving back to our community.
Chef Gertrude donates 10% of revenue to local non-profits, and whenever possible, we also provide complimentary food toppers to shelters to help keep their furry friends happy while they wait for a new home. Get in contact with us if you'd like to organize a delivery for a local shelter!
